Rob Stanley

Rob has spent over two decades in psychotherapy and counselling roles across the GTA. In addition to extensive private practice experience at our affiliate agency www.whiteboardcounselling.com, Rob has also supported clients in corporate, educational, correctional, and not-for-profit settings.

Rob specializes in individual counselling for clients dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. He is a kind, empathetic listener who brings a wealth of wisdom and lived experience to every session.

Rob’s clinical work is heavily influenced by Narrative and Person-Centred Therapy. His educational background—undergraduate studies in English Literature, Theology, and Cognitive Psychology; as well as a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology—greatly informs his therapeutic approach.

Rob’s research interests include the areas of: identity development; stress management and burnout; crisis and trauma recovery; assistance in values formation; as well as the application of principles of personal happiness.

Rob is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and is a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
